My journey started 20 years ago. I was having health issues. At that time the pain was serious and debilitating. Medicine helped me greatly, gave me strong understanding of the physiological aspects. In conjunction with Western Medicine, I went to a therapist, Catherine Larue, trained in Chinese Medicine and the healing Arts. She offered me a new way, new tools and a different approach to understand the correlation and interplay between health, emotion and the soul.
From a young age, I was always passionate about philosophy, history, art and healing modalities. After searching for my mission, Chinese Medicine gave the opportunity to follow this path.
After working for big firms in Europe, I met a New Yorker, got a wonderful little daughter, Charlotte and studied Shiatsu with Wataru Ohashi. Shiatsu is a form of bodywork that aligns itself with Chinese Medicine and was mostly practiced by the blind in Japan. It gave me the opportunity to develop the skills in diagnosis through the art of palpation which is so much needed in Acupuncture.
Over the years, I gained experience dealing with conditions revolving stress, chronic pain, GI disorders, psycho-emotional conditions and skin health.
What I love the most about my work? Is being in the presence of other human beings, listening, sharing and seeing them smile again.
I have been living in New York for the 18 last years.
Having been brought up in a multilingual environment, New York just feels like home to me. I am fluent in French, German, Norwegian, English and some Italian.
